Tananarive or officially Antananarivo is the political and economic capital of Madagascar, Antananarivo Province, located in the central part of the island.

Antananarivo is on the slopes of a rocky ridge peak at about 1,435 meters, with some lakes like those Mandroseza Anosy, especially Lake Masay.
